CRANE is committed to ensuring equitable access to all meetings, research opportunities, and resources. As part of this commitment, we are running a travel bursary to remove financial barriers and support community members in attending in-person CRANE events.

Eligibility

We will accept travel bursary applications from full CRANE members.  Priority will be given to:

• Early Career Researchers
• Those who have limited access to alternative travel funds
• Those who have not yet received a CRANE travel bursary

Funding

Travel bursaries cover up to £150 in travel costs for attending a CRANE sponsored event. 

All costs must demonstrate value for money and funds claimed must be permissible under UKRI-EPSRC regulations.  Please note travel bursaries cannot be used to cover taxi fares.

Costs will be reimbursed following the event upon submission of a completed expense claim form with appropriate supporting evidence.

Application Process

Please submit the short online form below. Applications to the bursary will be considered on a rolling basis. 

Please note applications cannot be considered retrospectively and we would ask that you apply at least two weeks prior to the event you are planning to attend.  Applications submitted less than two weeks prior to the event will be considered, but we cannot guarantee a decision ahead of the event.
